Garnet for Sandblasting: High-Performance Abrasive for Surface Preparation
AKUJET garnet for sandblasting is harder, denser, and more durable than most conventional abrasives. It cleans faster, reduces abrasive consumption, and significantly improves the productivity of your surface preparation operations.
Available in 5 different grades, our sandblasting abrasives offer you the flexibility needed to meet your specific application, performance, and budget requirements.
Why choose garnet for sandblasting?
AKUJET garnet is 2 to 4 times harder and up to 2 times denser than ordinary abrasives such as coal slag, staurolite or crushed glass. A harder and denser abrasive means reduced processing time, a uniform surface profile and better coating adhesion.
- High cleaning capacity: penetrates deep into cavities and pitted areas down to bare metal
- Complete removal of rust, soluble salts and contaminants
- Uniform surface profile promotes coating longevity
- Suitable for steel, stainless steel, aluminum and other substrates
- Recyclable in blast rooms: 3 to 5 typical uses
Low dust, safe, recyclable
AKUJET garnet is a natural, non-ferrous, inert mineral containing less than 0.1% respirable crystalline silica and no heavy metals. It produces less dust than most blasting abrasives, which improves visibility on the job site, reduces disruption in adjacent areas, and promotes better working conditions.
